Tej Panta, founder of Asian Expedition Pvt. Ltd., has a passion for nature, exploration, and catering to adventure seekers, shaped by his upbringing on the country’s hillside. He has ascended peaks over 6,000 meters in Nepal. After completing his school education, he pursued higher studies in Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital. He earned a master’s degree in sociology from Tribhuvan University, after studying mathematics at the campus level. Initially a school teacher, Tej soon transitioned to a trekking guide, aligning with his interests and his father’s profession. His father, a long-time trekking guide, introduced him to international tourists. Since 1995, Tej has been involved in Nepali mountain tourism, with over 20 years of specialization in mountaineering across Nepal and Tibet.

The inception of this expedition company is rooted in a rich history. Tej’s father, Panta, has been active in the tourism sector since the 1970s, coinciding with the hippie movement’s arrival in Kathmandu. He ran a trekking agency, leading numerous tours, climbs, and treks.
