Peak Climbing

The Nepalese Government in 1978 introduced a category of trekking peaks to capitalize on the demand and interest by climbers in less complicated arrangements. The terms Trekking peaks denotes a small mountain that may be attempted with few formalities instead of an expensive expedition permit and complex regulations.

Climbing on trekking peaks usually commences at high altitudes and the summits are on or near the danger zone, above 6000m (19,680ft), even for relatively modest peaks. There exist a handful of peaks that give novice climbers a chance to top a respectable Himalayan summit, involving an ascent over snow and ice terrain; these peaks are located in the popular trekking areas (Everest, Annapurna and Langtang regions), have relatively easy access and can be undertaken within a relatively short period of time. Rolwalling, Kanchenjungha and far west region have also beautiful climbed peaks. These are the peaks that we focus on. For those seeking to climb one of these peaks, an essential requirement is to be in excellent physical condition and have some outdoor background.
Peak climbing to the Himalaya, large or small, are usually required to work through a local agency for the provision of services with in that country. Proper physical, mental, and logistical preparation is the key to a rewarding and successful climb.Climbing permits are valid for one month.

Note: Trekking Peak Climbing Permit obtain from the Nepal Mountaineering Assocation. And High climbing rescue insurance is a must.
